The Gas Repairs is for homeowners and is provided to help vulnerable people live in a warm, well maintained environment. Our Gas Safe contractors will repair boilers for those that meet the above criteria (depending on funding, there may be a charge).
Our contractor work will be monitored by our Caseworker who will visit the customer after the work is completed to offer further assistance and check the work. Mears only use fully qualified, vetted, and insured tradesmen who will arrange appointments before visiting the property and will always carry identification.
Mears also provide a full security survey on a property, offer advice and fit equipment to help people stay safe and secure.
If a person has been diagnosed with memory issues, Mears will visit their home free of charge and assess what is needed to help them stay safe and well. Mears can provide calendar clocks if the person has trouble remembering the day/date, fit red grab rails, fit red toilet seats, outline steps and banisters, fit door and kitchen cupboard signs and fit red light switch covers to help everyday objects/equipment stand out. Mears will also offer advice on how their home can be made a more Dementia friendly environment.
