New look committee to tackle major planning applications

Festival of Light 2014 - celebrating creativity

It’s been an amazing year for Yorkshire, Kirklees and Huddersfield. People came out in massive numbers to support and cheer on the Tour de France cyclists and made Huddersfield come to life with wonderful party spirit during ‘Hypervelocity’.

Kirklees walking receives national accreditation for quality health walks

Kirklees Walking has been officially recognised by Walking for Health and awarded national accreditation for its local walking scheme. The accreditation endorses the quality of experience and support that walkers can expect when taking part in one of the scheme’s 33 weekly / fortnightly walks.
