Kirklees Council is teaming up with other local authorities in West Yorkshire to run a rounders festival and tournament at Leeds Road Sports Complex, Huddersfield, on Saturday, August 7. Registration opens at 10am and play will last until around 3.30pm.
The tournament, which is free to take part in, is suitable for people new to, returning to and current participants of rounders.
People interested in participating just need to register as individuals or, with friends, as a team by contacting Tom Gibbins, Club Support Assistant, tel: 07528 252199, email: thomas.gibbins@wysport.co.uk
Through its Sport4Life scheme, Kirklees Council is currently running ‘Back to Rounders’ on Mondays at Fernside Park, Almondbury, and Wednesdays at Leeds Road Sports Complex, both 6pm-7pm.
