Teddybear's picnic at Batley Live - July 31

Visit the Batley Alive area at this year’s Batley Live event on Saturday July 31, for a fabulous teddy bears picnic, the chance to learn to drum, have a go at Bollywood dancing or even try balloon modelling with expert Shirley Ray.

Visitors can keep an eye out for Cuddly Kevin, the storytelling bear, who will be handing out free bear biscuits from Granthams Bakers and Charnocks Bakers.

There will be story time fun and families will be able to hear about Veronica, a mystical creature from space, who will be making an appearance at the event.

Children can bring along their favourite teddy bear and bears will be judged by Councillor Gwen Lowe (who is a collector of Teddy Bears herself) and the best bear will win a family ticket for the Kirklees Light Railway. Don’t forget to look at what the bears are doing in shops around the town.
