Billy Adams wins again

A Kirklees Council Building Services apprentice joiner has won second place in a local government award scheme, shortly after winning the APSE Apprentice of the Year for ‘Male Building Skills.’

Billy Adams, aged 20, from Halifax, won his latest award in this year’s ‘Make a Difference Awards’ in the category ‘Young Employee of the Year.’

Cllr Peter McBride, Cabinet member for Regeneration said: “Billy is an outstanding employee and a role model for all apprentices, willing to go the extra mile and ready to help co-workers in different trades when the need arises. He is also a wonderful ambassador for apprenticeships, young people and the council.”

The ‘Make a Difference’ awards celebrate the achievements and successes of the local authorities in Yorkshire and Humber.
