David Hales of 1 Leeds Old Road, Heckmondwike pleaded guilty at Dewsbury Magistrates Court on February 16 to waste offences.

Following a complaint, council officers visited the property and saw waste in the garden. The owner was written to and requested to clear the waste which he did not do and he was then served a notice. Although some of the waste was cleared a significant amount remained and he was prosecuted for not complying with the notice.

He was fined £100 with £15 victim support and costs of £434.
