Household waste recycling sites move to summer opening times - March 26

The five Kirklees Household Waste Recycling Centres will move to summer opening hours from Monday, March 26.

All the sites will be open as follows from March 26:

Weekday opening – 8am to 5pm
Saturday – 8am to 4pm
Sunday – 9am to 4pm

The five sites are:

Emerald Street, Huddersfield, HD1 6BY
Bent Ley Road, Meltham, HD9 4AP
Bromley Farm, Upper Cumberworth, HD8 8NN
Weaving Lane (off Thornhill Road), Dewsbury, WF12 9QR
Nab Lane (off Pheasant Drive), Birstall, WF17 9LR.

The sites can be used to recycle a wide range of materials including: glass, paper, cardboard, Tetrapak (drink cartons), plastic and metal containers, old clothing, garden waste, batteries, engine oil, cooking oil (with the exception of Bromley Farm), metal, paint, and electrical and white goods such as washers and cookers.

When using the sites residents should take their residents permit, or commercial vehicle permit if transporting household waste in a commercial vehicle. Rubbish should be sorted into the clearly marked skips for each type of waste. Please do not leave any material on the ground.
