Crowds poured into Dewsbury town centre on Wednesday April 8 for Spirit, the spectacular free outdoor show.

Spirit acrobats in action

Audiences were amazed as Spanish and Argentinean acrobats Grupo Puja performed their show high in the air.

As a live band played on stage in front of the Town Hall, the acrobats were lifted 200ft above the crowd on a giant sphere. From a great height they performed amazing daredevil acrobatics, accompanied by plenty of ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from the four thousand strong crowd stood below.

The show ended with a fantastic firework finale which lit the night sky and prompted a huge applause from the audience.
