Bierley man fined for littering in Huddersfield

A Bierley man has been fined for littering in Huddersfield.

David Lumb of 7 Renee Close, Bierley, Bradford was seen by an entorcement officer throwing a drinks can from his vehicle on Keldregate in Huddersfield on October 19, 2011.

He was sent a fixed penalty notice for £75 for dropping litter under section 87 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. He was prosecuted by Kirklees Council for failing to pay the fixed penalty notice.

He was found guilty in his absence on March 16 at Kirklees Magistrates Court and was fined £350 and a Victim Surcharge of £15 plus costs off £210.
